1. Data processing for the organization and realization of SWIM 2022

Your data will be processed by the organizers of SWIM 2022 for the purpose of organizing and conducting the workshop. 
Legal basis for the data processing is Article 6(1)(b) of the DSGVO. 
Participation in the workshop is only possible if you provide us with the data required and designated as mandatory data.


We process your data for as long as it is required for the planning and final implementation of the workshop or due to applicable legal provisions, such as the obligation to retain invoice documents. If you wish your data to be deleted, we will delete your data without delay, unless legal retention obligations prevent this. 

Categories of personal data processed

If you wish to participate in the event, you must consent to the processing of the following personal data. Otherwise, you cannot be granted access to the respective facility or event.

  • First and surname
  • Affiliation
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address

In the case of official activities, official contact details are sufficient.

2. Data processing for contact tracing in the sense of the Lower Saxony Corona Ordinance.


Your data will be processed for the purpose of tracing chains of infection in connection with the Corona virus SARS-CoV-2 (legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. c DSGVO i.V.m. § 6 Abs. 4 Nds. CoronaVO).

A transfer of contact data takes place under the legal requirements exclusively to the respective competent health authority for the above-mentioned purposes. These contact data will not be used for any other purpose, in particular not for advertising purposes.

The contact data will be stored for a period of three weeks after the end of the respective event and deleted after one month at the latest.

If the data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) DSGVO, you have the right to object to the data processing at any time. We will then no longer process your data, unless there are compelling reasons for the processing worthy of protection or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims. 

Right of complaint 

In addition, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the law.
